A indulgent single origin coffee with notes of fig and chocolate.
Rio Azul is grown by 400 small producers in the beautiful Huehuetenango region of Guatemala. The farmers have on average 2 acres of coffee trees growing next to beans and corn for their own consumption.
During harvest the farmers take their cherries to a mill owned by UniTrade, an export company, for processing. UniTrade has local programs focusing on health, nutrition and education. This ensures that the kids in the area have access to schools while the parents are harvesting coffee.
